Arnhem, 28 October 2026 – Allego has successfully completed the cutover to its new Charge Point Management System (CPMS), marking a major milestone in the modernization of its European charging platform.

Ampeco migration

This highly complex transformation combined the migration to AMPECO’s SaaS platform with extensive integration work across Allego’s technology landscape. During the final cutover, more than 32,000 EVSEs were successfully transitioned to the new platform in less than five hours, following months of preparation, testing and coordination.

The migration involved more than 100 professionals from across Allego, including teams from Operations, IT, Charging Technology, Procurement, Finance, Energy Platform and Marketing, working closely alongside AMPECO and a wide ecosystem of technology partners. Quality assurance was a key priority throughout the programme, with extensive technical, hardware, integration and end-to-end business testing completed prior to the migration.

Customer continuity remained at the centre of the cutover. Live post-migration validation successfully confirmed key charging journeys, including RFID, Plug & Charge and the Carrefour customer experience. In parallel, more than 70 roaming connections were successfully migrated and validated on the new platform, ensuring seamless interoperability for EV drivers across Europe.

The successful cutover establishes a modern foundation for the continued development and scaling of Allego’s charging services. The new CPMS architecture combines an enterprise-grade SaaS platform with Allego’s own integration and OCPP capabilities, creating a more agile, scalable and future-ready charging ecosystem.
