1000 extra chargers
6 June 2019

Allego will install, manage and maintain 1,000 public charging points in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe. Allego’s charging stations are supplied with 100 percent sustainable energy generated in the Netherlands. This is the result of the tender from the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe and 21 participating municipalities.

By opting for 100 percent sustainable energy from sun and wind, the charging stations contribute to the energy transition. The free supplier choice is special about this tender. Thanks to smart technology from Allego, every energy supplier will be able to supply electricity to its customers via its own charge card. This gives electric riders the opportunity to use electricity from, for example, the solar park of the local energy cooperative. This innovation will be introduced at the end of 2019.

From 1 July, residents of the participating municipalities without their own driveway can easily and quickly request a charging station for their electric car online on Allego’s website www.openbaarladen.nl
