Allego and Uber join forces to make EV charging more affordable and accessible for professional drivers across Europe

ARNHEM, THE NETHERLANDS – Allego, a leading pan-European EV charging provider, and Uber today announce a new partnership aimed at making electric mobility more accessible and affordable for Uber drivers. This collaboration is part of Allego’s broader mission to support high‑mileage drivers across Europe with reliable, fairly priced and future‑ready charging solutions.
Launched initially in the Netherlands and France and scheduled for mid 2026 for Belgium, the partnership gives Uber drivers access to significantly reduced charging prices across the Allego fast and ultrafast charging network. With the transition to zero-emission mobility accelerating across Europe, the initiative mitigates one of the main barriers for professional drivers considering an EV: charging costs.
Making EV charging more affordable for professional drivers
The collaboration enables Uber drivers to benefit from up to –50% on the Allego network, helping reduce total cost of ownership and supporting drivers in cities where clean‑air regulations and low‑emission zones are becoming increasingly common.
The incentives encourage charging during off‑peak hours, supporting both affordability for drivers and more efficient utilization of the energy grid. This reflects Allego’s commitment to delivering smart, future‑ready charging solutions aligned with actual grid capacity and professional driver behavior.
To access the discounted rates, drivers can simply use the Allego App via a dedicated Single Sign-On (SSO) login for Uber drivers.
Part of Allego’s broader professional-driver strategy
While this agreement is tailored to Uber drivers, it fits within a broader Allego effort to support all high-mileage and self-employed professionals, including taxi and VTC drivers, last-mile logistics operators, healthcare workers, and small business fleets.
As professional use cases evolve, Allego continues to explore similar partnerships with mobility platforms and fleet operators across Europe.
Brennon Chen, Head of Vehicles & Fleets, EMEA
“The future is electric, and we’re committed to making it as easy as possible for drivers to make the switch. Drivers consistently tell us that charging can be one of the biggest day-to-day pain points. By working with Allego we are improving access to reliable charging and lowering costs, making it easier and more affordable for drivers to get into EVs.”
Jean Gadrat, Chief Marketing Officer at Allego:
“Professional drivers are among the most intensive users of public charging infrastructure. With this partnership, we are placing the scale and reliability of our European network at the service of those who rely on their vehicle to earn a living.
Smart incentives, combined with fast charging, help drivers reduce costs while supporting energy-grid efficiency. It’s a win-win for drivers and cities alike.”
A growing network built for intensive usage
Allego operates one of Europe’s largest fast‑charging networks, with more than 1,000 high power DC charging locations strategically placed along major roads, retail destinations, and mobility hubs. Across Europe, Allego continues to expand its footprint with high‑power charging stations built to minimize downtime and support the needs of professional EV-drivers.
