Florence’s Fresh Fast-Charging Facility Now Open
28 March 2025

Allego and Tamoil announce the commissioning of a new ultra-fast charging station in Florence, Italy. Located at the Tamoil petrol station on Via Senese, the site provides drivers convenient access to reliable charging outside the city center and close to the highway.

This station is equipped with two Alpitronic 300 kW chargers and is Allego’s first medium-voltage installation in Italy, supported by a dedicated substation to ensure a stable power supply. The location is designed to offer quick and easy charging for both local EV drivers and those traveling to and from Florence.

A Steady, Collaborative Effort

This Florence site is part of a wider collaboration with Tamoil and the successful activation of this station reflects the combined efforts and persistence of all parties involved.

Six additional Tamoil locations in Northern Italy are expected to follow. They will have a similar setup, including clear signage, floor markings, and ultra-fast charging technology to offer EV drivers a consistent experience.

The opening of our Florence site marks an exciting milestone for Allego in Italy,” says Alberto Delgado, Managing Director of Southern Europe for Allego. “We are committed to providing reliable, accessible, and efficient charging solutions across Southern Europe. This location reflects our focus on supporting EV drivers where they need it most, and we look forward to continuing our expansion in Italy.

A Practical Opening Event

Allego and Tamoil hosted a small ribbon-cutting on March 21, 2025, to mark the station’s opening. EV advocate Daniele Invernizzi was present to document the occasion along with Alessandro Prioli (Allego Business Developer), Valerio Vigliaroli (Allego Delivery Manager, Attorney), Orsolya Salanki (Allego Delivery Manager, Attorney) and Giovanni Longinotti (Tamoil Network Assistant).
